Wow!! What a ride! I finally beat the game and it took everything I had. But did I really beat it...?
I have only praise for this game. It will shove your face in the mud and make you fight just to survive. When you think you have it figured out (like with other games) it will show you that you still have much to learn! The only rule is that there is always room to improve!
The reason this game is a masterpiece is because of GAMEPLAY which is made up of GAME BALANCE and the awesome AI.
The highest praise for the PHASED COMBAT SYSTEM in this game. It brings a certain "real-time" element which greatly increases the game depth!
The author is obviously a long-time, hard-core gaming veteran that knows the essence of what makes a game truly great.
This game kept me addicted and challenged the whole time I played it.
HOW THIS GAME MIGHT BE IMPROVED:
1)MULTIPLAYER This game is ready for prime-time multiplayer, as is. The loser could be forced to watch an ad and click a link before being allowed to play again. The central server will automatically match players blindly.
2)CAMPAIGN GAME There can be a campaign map with castles and cities for capture. Each city captured will produce more gold which allows hiring and purchase of equipment.
MINOR BUG REPORTS:
1) Highlighting for ranged does not occur when the potential target is on the stone or red carpet.
2) When the player wins a league the season report shows an AI as having won the league (except the final league).
3) Sometimes the gold screen exceeds the alloted pixels and requires a scrollbar to display; the pixel space needs to be increased slightly.
MY FINAL WINNING SETUP:
6 Harmen all with maxed equipment and spellbooks maxed to their stamina.
The graphics are not the best but the game has a realy good gameplay. I'm addicted to the game hehehe.
Also dint liked the achers and to cast a spell you need to make so many clicks every turn... It becomes boring, that is why i'm only using warriors on my team hehhe...
