Using Adobe Flash Builder ( Flex ) with Flash

Hello this tutorial will teach you how to use Adobe Flash Builder ( Flex ) with Flash, basically we are going to make the art in flash and covert everything in movieclips them we will export and use these MovieClips in the Adobe Flash Builder.

Since i'm unnable to add an legend to the tutorial i will be narrating what i'm doying through text here. You guys can find the tutorial at this link on youtube.

00:00 - 00:16: First go to the File > Publish Settings menu then go to the "Flash Tab" and mark the option "Export Swc". The swc is the file which we are going to import in the Adobe Flash Builder software and is where all the movieclip, buttons, sounds and etc maded in Flash will be.

00:16 - 01:30: Now i will be making 2 movieclips in Flash to be used later in the Adobe Flash Builder software.

01:30 - 02:00: After creating the 2 MovieClips we need now to mark them to be exported to actionscript giving to each one a class name which will be our referense to these movieclips in the Adobe Flash Builder. Go to the library and right clip on the Movieclips, them go to its properties, now mark the option named as "Export for ActionScript". Pay atention in the name at the field named "Class" thi is the name wich we are going to use later in Adobe Flash Builder to use our exported Movieclip.

02:00 - 02:35: Now save your .fla and publish your work. As you have already marked in the publish settings the option "Export Swc" an .swc file will be created in the same directory which you have saved the .fla file.

02:35 - 02:50: Now go and open the Adobe Flash Builder Software (Flex).

03:02 - 03:21:Create a new project. Right click on the projects zone them go to New > Project and select ActionScript Project, them click on next give a name to your project and click in finish.

03:21 - 03:24: Soon as you create your project some folders will be created at the src/(Default Package) one .as file will be created this is your project main class. Currently this class constructor is the only one thing which is begin executed in your project.

03:24 - 03:55: Now go to your project main folder and right click on it, them go to Properties > Actionscript Build Path and click in the "Add Swc" button, them find our .swc file created through flash. Doying this now you will be able to use the Movieclips created in Flash.

03:55 - 05:00: Here i'm writing a simple program, the code which i have writen in this step is the following:

05:00 - 06:09: When you have finished to wirte your code go and click in the bug icon jus has how i did in the tutorial, through this button you will be able to run and debbug your application.
